Notice of Destruction of Special Education Records In accordance with WAC 392-172-172A-05235, Stevenson-Carson School District “shall inform parents and adult students when personally identifiable information collected, maintained, or used in compliance with this chapter is no longer needed to provide educational services to the student, or is no longer required to be retained under state or federal law.” And in accordance with the Office of the Secretary of State Washington State Archives records retention schedule, Stevenson-Carson School District will destroy special education records from students who separated from the special education program in the district from the period of June 1960 to June 2026, six (6) years from the publication of this notice. Any person who wishes to claim their special education records can call the Stevenson-Carson School District Administration building at 509-427-5674 to schedule a time to pick up their records before June 1, 2032.
